5-Hour Koyasan Private Tour

Experience an intimate and insightful tour of Mount Koya,
led by a certified Kongobuji Temple grounds guide who resides in Koyasan.

In addition to learning about the history and cultural heritage of this World Heritage site,
you will have the rare opportunity to hear personal insights into monastic life and training — stories not usually shared with visitors.

The tour includes Kongobuji Temple, the Danjo Garan complex, and Okunoin Cemetery.

Discover Mount Koya through the perspective of a monk and former temple administrator —

[Tour Details (Day After Your Stay)]

Participants: 2–3 guests
Departure: 9:30 AM from Ten no Sato
Arrival in Koyasan: 10:05 AM
Tour Duration: Approximately 5 hours (including lunch break)
End Time: Around 3:00 PM

Meeting Point:
Nakanohashi Parking Area, near the Okunoin entrance.
(Guests arriving by car should proceed directly to the meeting point.)

Drop-off Location:
Flexible upon request.

Lunch may be enjoyed during the tour.

If you wish to experience traditional Buddhist vegetarian cuisine (Shojin-ryori) at a temple lodging (Ekoin), please inform us in advance.

Payment for lunch should be made directly to the guide on site.

Your guide, a local resident familiar with Koyasan’s restaurants,
is also happy to recommend alternative dining options.
