Awaji Hamarikyu, a classic Japanese-style resort nestled in Keino Matsubara, one of the “Top 100 Sunset Spots in Japan,” offers a refined retreat by the sea.

The Tokubetsu Floor, our Special Floor, features 13 distinctive high-end rooms that blend nostalgic Japanese classical design with modern aesthetics and functionality, each boasting its own private open-air hot spring bath.
We offer west-facing rooms overlooking the pine grove, where you can glimpse the Seto Inland Sea’s crimson sunset through the trees, as well as east-facing rooms with beautiful morning light and distant views of Mount Yuzuruha, the sacred peak of Awaji Island steeped in myth and nature.

Meals are served in our classical dining room, where the deep scarlet carpet—reminiscent of glowing sunset clouds—creates a lasting impression. Centered around the island’s fresh seafood, each course brings together the rich flavors of Awaji vegetables and the distinctive taste of Awaji beef. These dishes, crafted from the island’s exceptional local ingredients, transform every bite into a memorable experience that lingers long after your stay.

Awaji Island is home to many hot springs, and among them, the Minami-Awaji Onsen area is renowned for its uniquely textured waters. In particular, Uzushio Onsen Ten no Yu is known for its remarkably silky, almost slippery feel, leaving the skin smooth and refreshed. Immerse yourself in its velvety waters and enjoy a moment of deep tranquility and relaxation.
