Notice of the introduction of accommodation tax in Gero City

Thank you very much for considering making a reservation at Gero Onsen Fugaku.

Due to the revision of the Gero City ordinance, the accommodation tax will be levied as follows from October 1, 2025.

Accommodation Charge (per person per night)

Tax Amount
Under 5,000 JPY100 JPY
5,000 JPY and over

200 JPY

"Accommodation charge" here refers only to the overnight stay and other related service charges, and does not include meals, consumption tax, etc.

*Those under the age of 12 (including those who are 12 years old but still in elementary school) are not subject to taxation.

Please note that even if you make a reservation before October 1, 2025, the accommodation tax will be applied to stays after October 1, 2025.
