◆ Breakfast ◆
Indulge in Fujiya's unique "fermented steamed cuisine," a culinary offering born from years of research in steam cooking. Our breakfast alternates daily between a Western-style serving abundant in hot spring confiture and a traditional Japanese meal featuring homemade jigoku-mushi soybean miso. Enjoy this colorful and nutrient-rich morning spread.
◆ Dinner ◆
Not included in the plan, but you're welcome to bring your own ingredients for preparation in our exclusive "Jigoku Mushi Kitchen." Experience Fujiya's inventive approach with new methods for enjoying steam cooking. You can also purchase a Jigoku Mushi Set, meticulously prepped using 50°C washing and low-temperature steaming (additional charges apply).
◆ Baths ◆
Enjoy our abundant hot spring baths with water sourced directly from natural springs. We also plan to offer "mushi-yu" steam baths bathed in the scents of steaming water and hinoki wood.
Usage Information:
Hot springs are available from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM.
Our large communal bath can be used whenever it is available, though please be aware it may be closed periodically for maintenance.
◆ Pilates ◆
As a guest, you are invited to participate in complimentary Pilates sessions led by Nurse Maeko Anan, taking place every other week on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. In good weather, classes are held on the rooftop; otherwise, they take place in the historically rich ambiance of the "Kazuyahyakuhoru," a Meiji-era building.
◆ Rooftop “Fujiya the ROOF” ◆
The rooftop offers stunning views of the Beppu Bay, steam rising in the distance, and the Takasakiyama mountains. The rooftop is carpeted with "IFMIK" processed grass inspired by balneotherapy, promoting the same circulation benefits as a soak in our hot springs simply by laying on its plush surface.
◆ Kamiku Lounge ◆
Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Meiji-era "Old Fujiya Ryokan" in our tea lounge. Enjoy your tea or bar time while admiring the beautifully crafted "Kamiku" earthen walls by master plasterer Shin Harada from Hita.
◆ Facility Information ◆
・Complimentary Wi-Fi available throughout the premises.
・Enjoy accommodations in lodging built with the latest CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber) technology or stay at the registered cultural property “Meiji Main Residence,” built in 1899.
・Throughout the year, the main building hosts musical performances, Jigoku Mushi soybean miso workshops, Pilates, and other activities.
