Mt. Shigi Guide
Our Shukubo is located within the grounds of Mt Shigi.
Gyokuzoin is a temple that belongs to Shigisan Chogomikoji Temple.
Mt. Shigi is situated on the border between Nara Prefecture and Osaka Prefecture,
and it is one of the sacred mountains in the Kansai region.
It is the head temple of Bishamonten, the deity of prosperity and fortune.
The mountain is also known as "Shoutoku Taishi's Mountain" as it is a spiritual place founded by Prince Shoutoku.
At Gyokuzoin Hall, Goma Prayer is held every morning, and you are free to participate.
We also accept reservations for the Daihannya Prayer at the Shigisan Main Hall. After reciting your address, name, and prayer, a talisman will be bestowed upon you. (Separate prayer fees apply.)
