Meals
The main dish of dinner is Hida beef sirloin, high quality with a beautiful marbled pattern.
Breakfast is served with Hoba miso. Hoba miso is a local dish of Hida, which is made by putting miso on Ho (japanese magnolia) leaf and grilling it.
Top Hoba miso on the rice is the most simple but tasty way to enjoy this traditional dish.
Dinner and breakfast both served at restaurant Donguri. Dinner started at 6pm, breakfast will be served from 7am (from 7:30 at winter) to 8:30.
Onsen (Hotspring) in Hirayunomori
The hotspring is separated by gender. There are 2 indoor, 9 open-air hotsprings and a sauna for women, 2 indoor, 7 open-air hotsprings and a sauna for men.
There are also private bath availble for the hotel guests. Start from 3pm, served as first-come-first-use, do not accept reservation.
Weather
The weather in Hirayu is cozy in summer. Please noticed we do not have air-conditioned in the rooms.
Winter in Hirayu is cold and keep snowing from December to March. There might be possible that temperature below freezing all the time.
Please prepare enough clothese to visit here.
If you come here by car in winter, do not forget to use automobile tires used for driving on snowy roads.
