Traditional Superior Room (Garden View) is a Japanese-style room that has two guest rooms: 10 tatami-mat & 6 tatami-mat size (approx 35 sqm / total size of guest room approx 60 sqm). Guest rooms are separated by sliding paper door. Room includes ensuite bathroom (bathtub & shower unit) & restroom. The view is of the main Japanese garden of our ryokan. The room is NON-SMOKING.
NOTICE: the minimum age to stay at Nishimuraya Honkan is 10yr old. Guests travelling with young children please consider our sister ryokan, Nishimuraya Hotel Shogetsutei.

Superior Matsuba Crab & Tajima Beef Kaiseki
Our most popular winter kaiseki plan features generous amounts of the regional speciality, Matsuba crab & a special dry-aged Tajima beef. Approximately 1.5 crab per person is served. This culinary masterpiece is available only from Nov 7 to March 20.
Matsuba Crab
The Matsuba crab is the local name for snow crab fished from the nearby Sea of Japan during winter season (early November to late March). Only specially selected crabs are used at Nishimuraya Honkan to ensure the finest taste.
Dry Aged Tajima Beef
Tajima beef comes from specially raised Tajima cattle which are the stock breed for other famous Japanese beef brands such as Kobe beef. The meat is carefully aged in special climate controlled aging storehouses to achieve an unbelievably rich flavor.
