Only five fishing boats are permitted to land this exceptional catch — the legendary Taiza Crab, often called “the phantom snow crab.”
With its delicate texture and rich, sweet flavor, this premium brand crab is considered one of Japan’s finest.
Every year, over 1,000 crabs are sourced to offer guests the largest number of Taiza crabs served in Japan, exclusively at Hoshi no oto Amanohashidate Rikyu.
In this plan, our chefs—masters of Taiza crab preparation—serve each guest one whole premium crab (approx. 0.9kg), carefully selected and prepared using a variety of cooking methods to bring out its natural sweetness.

【For Guests Who Wish to Upgrade the Crab Size】
If you would like to upgrade the size of the Taiza crab,
please contact our front desk by phone at least one week before your check-in date to request your preferred size.
※ We will provide the size closest to your request only if it is available in stock.
※ When upgrading the size, the same size crab will be served to all accompanying guests.
※ The price will be based on the market rate at the time of purchase, and the difference will be settled on-site.
※ Requests for size upgrades, changes, or cancellations must be made no later than one week before your check-in date.
【Important Notice Regarding “Taiza Crab”】
Our facility only purchases the highest quality “Premium Grade” Taiza crabs.
However, due to weather conditions or other factors, there may be times when crab fishing is suspended for an extended period, making it impossible to procure Taiza crab.
In such cases, your plan will be changed to a branded local crab plan from nearby fishing ports with official tags.
(If the plan is changed to the branded local crab plan, the price difference will be refunded.)
Please make your reservation with full understanding of this policy.
By completing your reservation, you are considered to have agreed to the above Important Notice Regarding “Taiza Crab.”
