Isami-kan, located in the Batou Onsen area, is a traditional Japanese inn that preserves the charm of a bygone era. Incorporating beams from a 150-year-old farmhouse, it welcomes guests of all generations to a serene retreat reminiscent of Japan’s rural past.

Our meals feature an abundance of locally sourced ingredients, including seasonal river fish, wild mountain vegetables, and organic produce from the lush nature of satoyama. Each dish is carefully crafted to highlight the pure flavors of the ingredients, offering a truly authentic dining experience.

Our hot spring boasts a simple alkaline spring with a pH value of 9.3, known for its silky-smooth texture that leaves skin radiant and glowing. This “Bijin no Yu” (“Beauty Hot Spring”) has been cherished by locals for generations. Immerse yourself in its rejuvenating properties and enjoy ultimate relaxation.

The inn offers stunning views of the Nakagawa River and the majestic mountains of Nasu and Nikko beyond. The tranquil, ever-changing seasonal landscapes provide a feast for the eyes. With our handcrafted local cuisine and the premium “Bijin no Yu” hot springs, let your body and mind be soothed. Dinner:
Savor local dishes crafted with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, focusing on both flavor and health.

Breakfast:
Enjoy a traditional Japanese breakfast featuring Koshihikari rice from the local area and side dishes that pair perfectly with rice. Seasonal variations may apply.

Important Meal Information:

Dinner is served between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM; please arrive by 5:00 PM.
Breakfast is served between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM.
Meals are served in the dining area.
Menu items may change without notice due to ingredient availability.

Hot Springs
Our popular large communal bath features an open-air bath overlooking the Nakagawa River. Enjoy the luxurious "Bijin no Yu" hot spring to your heart’s content.

Important Notes
Group reservations are limited to a maximum of 6 guests, including children (up to 2 children per group).
The entire property, including all guest rooms, is non-smoking. Smoking is permitted only in the designated smoking area on the first-floor courtyard terrace.

Shuttle Service
Advance reservations for shuttle service are required.
Same-day requests may be accommodated upon inquiry.
Shuttle service is available for groups of 2 or more.

The Japanese-style room on the second floor boasts a spacious and relaxing space with a ceiling height of 3.4m.

The room is furnished with old wood from a traditional house that is over 200 years old, giving it the warmth of wood and an atmosphere reminiscent of a distant hometown.

Open the window and you can see the clear, majestic flow of the Nakagawa River below, the mountains of Nikko to the west, and the Nasu mountain range to the north.
