A relaxing guest room where you can fully experience local Fukui art and crafts, such as a large Echizen ware vase made in the Muromachi period, antique Echizen chests of drawers, and lighting made with Echizen washi paper.
The largest villa, complete with a courtyard garden and tatami living room, and private rental with an open-air bath and terrace.
The guest room design and art curation are overseen by Koichi Uchida, a ceramic artist and sculptor who has traveled the world and is well-versed in beauty from crafts to antiques and contemporary art.
The theme is "adult" and "authenticity."
The villa's design, based on a black color scheme that harmonizes with the adjacent ESHIKOTO, and featuring abundant use of Shakudani stone from Fukui Prefecture, evokes a sense of calm and tranquility.
The guest rooms are divided into three types of villas, each with a different concept, offering a total of eight rooms.
From antique art representing Fukui, such as Echizen ware and Echizen lacquerware, to works by modern and contemporary artists, and folk art from around the world, high-quality art from all times and places blends together, allowing you to fully enjoy the world of "mitate," which is at the core of the Japanese aesthetic.
All rooms are equipped with a semi-open-air bath and a spacious terrace. We promise you a comfortable stay.
■cadre
The French restaurant "cadre," which sadly closed in 2023, will be revived at "Kanshukuen ESHIKOTO."
The entire course expresses "Fukui" by using seafood caught in Wakasa, venison and bear meat from Echizen, seafood caught by traditional female divers, and preserved foods passed down in Fukui.
Based on the rich local ingredients and food culture, we welcome our guests by elevating them into French cuisine with a free-thinking approach.

In the morning, as you wake up, take in the fresh air of Eiheiji Temple and come to acoya to enjoy the food and the scenery before you. "Harmonize your body," "Harmonize your breath," and "Harmonize your mind." acoya's breakfast, made with plenty of local Fukui ingredients, and the wonderful scenery will harmonize your mind and body.
