The guest rooms feature a bright, light-filled space adorned with traditional Japanese materials such as bamboo baskets and hanging flower vases, antique furniture made from rare bamboo, and handcrafted items including old Echizen pots.
A private villa with an open-air bath and terrace, closest to the Kuzuryu River and overlooking rice paddies
The guest rooms are supervised and art curated by Koichi Uchida, a ceramic artist and sculptor who has traveled the world and possesses a deep understanding of beauty, from crafts and antiques to contemporary art.
The themes are "adult" and "authenticity."
With a black base that harmonizes with the adjacent, the villa's appearance, which makes extensive use of Shakudani stone from Fukui Prefecture, evokes a sense of calm and tranquility. The guest rooms are divided into three types of villas. We offer a total of eight rooms, each with a different concept. From antique art representing Fukui, such as Echizen ware and Echizen lacquerware, to works by modern and contemporary artists, and folk art from all over the world, high-quality art from all times and places blends together, allowing you to fully enjoy the world of "mitate," which is at the core of the Japanese aesthetic sense. All rooms are equipped with a semi-open-air bath and a spacious terrace. We promise you a comfortable stay. ※Children under junior high school age are not permitted to stay in these rooms.
■cadre
The French restaurant "cadre," which sadly closed in 2023, will be revived at "Kanshukuen ESHIKOTO."
The entire course expresses "Fukui" by using seafood caught in Wakasa, venison and bear meat from Echizen, seafood caught by traditional ama (female diver) fishing, and preserved foods passed down in Fukui.
Based on the rich local ingredients and food culture, we welcome our guests by elevating them into French cuisine with free-thinking ideas.

■Breakfast
Breakfast is served at Apéro & Pétisserie acoya, located within "ESHIKOTO," a facility adjacent to "Kanshukuen ESHIKOTO" that promotes the culture of the Hokuriku region, centered around Fukui, with alcohol as its core.
The breakfast features Fukui-grown Koshihikari rice cooked in an earthenware pot, while French elements shine through in every detail.
In the morning, as you wake up, take a deep breath of the fresh air of Eiheiji Temple and come to acoya to enjoy the food and the scenery before you. "Harmonize your body," "Harmonize your breath," and "Harmonize your mind." acoya's breakfast, made with plenty of local Fukui ingredients, and the wonderful scenery will harmonize your mind and body.
■Bar Toki
