A private, all-inclusive villa situated in a location overlooking the majestic Kuzuryu River.
As the name of the room, "Tsudoi" (Gathering), suggests, it was designed with the concept of a place where people can gather and share precious time.
It is a special wellness space where the climate of Fukui, which boasts the highest happiness index in Japan, and the sauna culture of Finland, which boasts the highest happiness index in the world, resonate with each other.
■Sauna
The design was handled by the Finnish architectural design firm "Studio Puisto," which incorporated nature and culture to create an experience unique to this place. In the philosophy of Finnish architecture, the sauna is not just a room, but a "path (ritual) of a series of experiences." Warming up, then tightening in the cold bath, and surrendering yourself to the natural breeze on the spacious private wooden deck terrace—it's all connected as one. You can enjoy a sauna experience with completely different expressions depending on the season you visit: the fresh greenery of spring, the sparkling surface of the river in summer, the crisp air of autumn, and the tranquil snowscape of winter. The villa is equipped with "two authentic Finnish saunas" with different temperature ranges and atmospheres, named after the surrounding natural environment and soundscape. "Khohu (Koufu / the babbling of the river and the sound of water)": A sauna where you can feel the dynamic expression and babbling of the Kuzuryu River up close and enjoy conversation without hesitation.
"Rauha (peace and tranquility)": A sauna where you can face yourself in silence while overlooking the gentle mountain ridge. ■Guest Rooms Studio Puisto aims to provide a stay experience that makes you feel like you're immersed in nature. The Kuzuryu River, mountain ranges, and the sky viewed from the guest rooms paint different landscapes depending on the season and time of day. Enjoy the unique scenery and leisurely time in a space that harmonizes with the local nature.
