The guest rooms feature a bright, light-filled space adorned with traditional Japanese materials such as bamboo baskets and hanging flower vases, antique furniture made from rare bamboo, and handcrafted items including old Echizen pots.
A private villa with an open-air bath and terrace, closest to the Kuzuryu River and overlooking rice paddies, the villa's appearance, which makes extensive use of Shakudani stone from Fukui Prefecture, evokes a sense of calm and tranquility. The guest rooms are divided into three types of villas. We offer a total of eight rooms, each with a different concept. From antique art representing Fukui, such as Echizen ware and Echizen lacquerware, to works by modern and contemporary artists, and folk art from all over the world, high-quality art from all times and places blends together, allowing you to fully enjoy the world of "mitate," which is at the core of the Japanese aesthetic sense. All rooms are equipped with a semi-open-air bath and a spacious terrace. We promise you a comfortable stay.
The guest rooms are supervised and art curated by Koichi Uchida, a ceramic artist and sculptor who has traveled the world and possesses a deep understanding of beauty, from crafts and antiques to contemporary art.
The themes are "adult" and "authenticity."
