A twelve-tatami Japanese room with a bedroom and a hiroen veranda, renovated in April 2026. Geometric patterns that recall traditional Japanese motifs, set against soft indirect lighting — Japanese calm with a Nordic turn of mind.

A designer sofa sits on the veranda, the best seat in the room for looking at Mt. Ochibayama. The bedroom has two Simmons beds, so you sleep in a bed rather than on a futon laid on the tatami.

Size  approx. 58 m² in total — 12 tatami (tatami area approx. 20 m²), a twin bedroom and a hiroen veranda
Capacity  2 to 5 guests (for three or more, futon bedding is laid out in the tatami room)

Hot Springs
Gekkōen boasts one of the few self-sourced "kin-sen" (golden hot spring) waters in Arima. Another attraction is that guests can enjoy hot springs at both Kōrōkan and our sister inn, Yūgetsusansō. Immerse yourself in the open-air bath along the river, where you can enjoy blissful moments surrounded by nature in our flowing spring water.
