This room is located in a modern Japanese-style townhouse hotel in Kaikoji-cho, a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station.

The name Kaikoji-cho comes from the fact that Kaikoji Temple was once located here.
Today, the area is home to popular tourist attractions such as Umekoji Park, Kyoto Aquarium, and Kyoto Railway Museum, but it has a rich history dating back to the mid-Kamakura period when Kaikoji Temple was founded. After being destroyed during the Onin War, it was relocated several times before becoming a sub-temple of Sennyu-ji Temple.
The interior of this property is based on that history, and the front desk features tiles reminiscent of stone walls and armor, evoking an era of war.
