The cold bath is luxuriously flowing with water from Lake Shikotsu, which has been ranked number one in Japan for water quality for 11 consecutive years.
What's more, beyond the outdoor bath chairs for your precious "totonoi time" is a magnificent view of the national park.

In the spacious carpeted Western-style room, there are two high-quality semi-double beds of sufficient height.
There is a stylish massage chair on the veranda. You can soothe your daily fatigue while looking out at the beautiful Lake Shikotsu outside the window.
The adjacent Japanese-style room, equivalent to 10 tatami mats, has a comfortable, firm sofa and a bead cushion that allows you to relax with just the right amount of sinking. Families who would otherwise stay in separate rooms at other inns can now spend time together in the same space at Marukoma Onsen Ryokan's "Lake-side Special Japanese-Western Room.
