Surrounded by rich fishing grounds in the sea and blessed with abundant water and fertile land producing grains, vegetables, and fruits, Hokkaido is known as one of the foremost culinary treasure troves in Japan. At MarukomaOnsen Ryokan, you can fully enjoy the flavors unique to Hokkaido.

We will prepare a Japanese banquet meal that makes use of seasonal local ingredients.

■Breakfast (07:00-09:00)
The breakfast restaurant buffet offers a luxurious breakfast with 25 Japanese and Western dishes made with local ingredients unique to Hokkaido, a treasure trove of food. Enjoy an elegant morning while gazing at the panoramic view of Lake Shikotsu from the window.

The sodium, calcium chloride, bicarbonate and sulfate springs will soothe your everyday fatigue.

Marukoma Onsen Ryokan: The hot spring source, discovered by the founder Sasaki Hatsutaro in 1915, still boasts an abundant supply of water and is beloved for its quality. The natural open-air bath, the open-air observation bath and the indoor bath all offer panoramic views of Lake Shikotsu, making this a hot spring that also boasts beautiful views. The "authentic Finnish-style loyly sauna" attached to the large bath is an authentic experience that will impress even sauna lovers.

The "authentic Finnish-style loyly sauna" next to the large bath is a full-fledged specification that will impress sauna lovers. It encourages sweating through loyly even at low temperatures, and is a sauna that puts less strain on the body.
The cold bath is luxuriously flowing with water from Lake Shikotsu, which has been ranked number one in Japan for water quality for 11 consecutive years.
What's more, beyond the outdoor bath chairs for your precious "totonoi time" is a magnificent view of the national park.

The guest rooms include Japanese-Western style rooms facing the lake, Japanese-style rooms facing the lake, and Japanese-style rooms facing the mountains, each offering a different view. These rooms are furnished in a traditional Japanese style that allows you to relax and unwind, enhancing your travel experience. The special rooms facing Lake Shikotsu feature a terrace that offers a panoramic view of the lake below. You can fully enjoy the enchanting scenery that changes its expression with time, from morning to evening.
