Savor the flavors of the season while sitting around the hearth.
This is a recommended plan from our hotel, where you can enjoy a kaiseki meal around the hearth.
■□━□━━━ Cuisine ━━━□━□■Surrounded by rich fishing grounds in the sea and blessed with abundant water and fertile land producing grains, vegetables, and fruits, Hokkaido is known as one of the foremost culinary treasure troves in Japan. At MarukomaOnsen Ryokan, you can fully enjoy the flavors unique to Hokkaido.
One of the specialties is dishes made with"Himemasu" (kokanee salmon) caught in the pristine waters of Lake Shikotsu. With a mild and delicate flavor, it is served in simple styles such as sashimi or grilled, allowing you to enjoy the natural taste of the fish. Additionally, you can enjoy a variety of kaiseki courses that feature seasonal seafood and locally grown vegetables. The dining area, Tohkaso, offers both horigotatsu (sunken kotatsu) seating
and table seating, allowing you to relax and enjoy your meal comfortably. You can spend a warm, convivial time around the irori (sunken hearth)with carefully selected sake brewed with Marukoma's natural water.■Dinner (dining hall)
