The ancient Hachiman-ryu sword-drawing technique has been passed down through the Hamamoto family since the 13th to 16th centuries, when the head of the family, Hamamoto, established the art of fire swordsmanship used by the Wokou naval forces, who were powerful in China, Korea, and the coastal areas of Kyushu from their bases.

Even today, we place the highest priority on "slashing swordsmanship," and have been conducting kata practice using real swords since the first dan level acquisition, as well as joint practice with wooden swords. We also host a monthly sword-drawing event where we hold a test cut.

Experience traditional Japanese culture with a sword-drawing experience at an Okinawa hotel.

 

■ Comprehensive Course (Sword Dressing + Test Cutting)

This course includes the test cut experience (particularly the sword-dressing test cut).
During the test cutting, you will experience how to actually cut with a sword by holding the blade in place.

Experience fee: 33,000 yen per person *Reservations are accepted for groups of 1 to 10 people.

Start time: 5:00 PM (meeting at 4:45 PM)
Duration: 60 minutes

03. Practice swinging a wooden sword
04. How to handle and swing a Japanese sword using a replica sword

■ Test Cutting Course
During the test cutting, you will experience how to cut with a sword by actually practicing the sword's line of movement.
*No need to change into hakama.

Experience Fee: ¥16,500 / person
*Reservations are accepted for 1 to 10 people.

Start Time: 5:00 PM (Meet at 4:45 PM)
Duration: 40-60 minutes
