Yame Fukushima is a town where the good old culture of gentlemen's agreements continues to this day.
When it once flourished as a merchant town, it is said that there was a culture where some merchants would take over the debts of other merchants who were struggling financially,
and there were also gentle restrictions on the town's freedom.
Gentlemen worked hard to maintain the town and help it prosper.
That culture has been passed down even today, although their positions and roles have changed. Modern-day gentlemen repair vacant houses one by one and find businesses that will help the town prosper.
Yame Fukushima has beautiful streets and a culture of life today because the gentlemen who are responsible for modern-day town development have gone out of their way to carry it on.
The guest rooms, which utilize the northern storehouse of the former Marubayashi family home, which once flourished as a lantern shop, have been named "Gentleman" in homage to the aspirations and actions of those gentlemen.

【RITA Yame Fukushima】is a small hotel with just two rooms, housed in a renovated 100-year-old traditional Japanese home. We are here to help you experience life in Yame Fukushima. Come and enjoy conversations with the townspeople and encounters with new scenery.

The renovation preserved the wear and traces accumulated over time as “layers of history,” allowing guests to sense the building's past. Precisely because of this, we deliberately omitted certain amenities in the rooms, hoping you will appreciate the ‘charm’ and the “unhurried yet comfortable lifestyle” of that era.
