The KIKU suite is a traditional Japanese-style room with 16 tatami mats, located on the first floor. It features a garden bathroom and a washroom.Year Hotel Built: 1890.

In January 2025, we upgraded the Japanese futons in all guest rooms.The room spans 58.38㎡ / 628ft² and includes the following spaces:

This 58.38㎡ / 628ft² room seamlessly blends traditional Japanese design with modern comforts.The bathroom is equipped with a traditional Japanese Hinoki wooden Furo soaking tub (350 gallons). Guests can relish exquisite views of the traditional Japanese garden, "TUBO NIWA," visible through sliding glass doors that lead to a balcony area.

Stay & Dine at Yachiyo (Dinner Included: 15180JPY) - Luxury WAGYU Beef SHABUSHABU.
WAGYU Beef Shabu shabu is similar to sukiyaki, which is cooked in a pot on the table. In both dishes, thinly sliced beef or pork is cooked with lots of vegetables. Meat for shabu shabu is thinner than meat for sukiyaki. It’s said that the name of shabu shabu came from the action we make when cooking meat. Because the meat is thinly sliced, it only has to be cooked for a few seconds, saying "shabu shabu." It’s like having a slice of meat swim in the boiling water.
The time of the Dinner can be chosen from the time of onset at PM17:00,17:30,18:00,18:30,19:00,19:30.

Our breakfast is served in traditional Japanese style, featuring YUDOFU boiled tofu, grilled fish, Japanese omelette, vegetables, MISO soup, and rice. You can select your preferred breakfast time from the available options: 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, or 9:00 AM. Enjoy your meal at our garden restaurant.
Yachiyo is a famous (RYOTEI) restaurant in Kyoto.

Official Decision on the Revision of Kyoto City Accommodation Tax (Effective March 1, 2026)
Kyoto City has conducted consultations with the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications under the Local Tax Act, following the approval of the revised ordinance at the February 2025 City Assembly concerning the revision of the accommodation tax.
As of today, the Minister’s consent has been obtained, and the revision of the accommodation tax — which raises certain tax rates in accordance with guests’ ability to pay — has been officially decided. The revised tax rates will take effect on March 1, 2026 (Reiwa 8).
Overview of the Revision
Effective March 1, 2026, Kyoto City will revise its accommodation tax rates based on the accommodation fee per person per night. The current rate of ¥200 will remain unchanged for stays costing less than ¥6,000. For stays between ¥6,000 and less than ¥20,000, a new tax rate of ¥400 will apply. For accommodation fees between ¥20,000 and less than ¥50,000, the tax will increase from ¥500 to ¥1,000. Guests staying at accommodations priced between ¥50,000 and less than ¥100,000 will see their tax rise significantly from ¥1,000 to ¥4,000, while those paying ¥100,000 or more per night will be subject to a new rate of ¥10,000 per person per night.
Meal charges are not included in the accommodation tax.
