At Kappa no Yado Ryokan Sanjiro, nestled in the scenic town of Zao, Miyagi Prefecture, we invite you to indulge in one of Japan's most prestigious wagyu brands: Sendai Beef.
This exclusive package features a thick-cut Sendai Beef loin steak, cooked to your preferred doneness. Enjoy the rich flavor of the beef with our special sauce, wasabi soy sauce, or simply a touch of salt to appreciate the quality of the meat.
In addition, you will savor Sendai Beef loin prepared as dashi shabu-shabu. Lightly swished through our specially prepared broth, the beef develops an exquisite texture and delicate flavor while retaining its natural tenderness.
Savor premium Sendai Beef while overlooking the magnificent Zao Mountain Range and experience a level of luxury that can only be found at Kappa no Yado Ryokan Sanjiro.

Dinner
Enjoy a seasonal Kaiseki dinner featuring locally sourced ingredients, together with:
• Sendai Beef Steak
• Sendai Beef Dashi Shabu-Shabu
Dinner starting times:
• 6:00 PM
• 6:30 PM
• 7:00 PM
Dining venue usage is limited to 2 hours from the selected starting time.
If no notice is received and arrival is delayed beyond 8:00 PM, dinner service will be considered forfeited and may be cleared away.
Please note that substitutions or modifications to the Sendai Beef Steak and Sendai Beef Dashi Shabu-Shabu included in this package are not available.
Breakfast
A healthy Japanese-style breakfast will be served at one of the following times:
• 7:30 AM
• 8:00 AM
• 8:30 AM
The breakfast venue is available until 9:00 AM.
Children's Meals
Elementary School Children
A specially prepared children's Japanese meal will be provided. Upon request, it may be changed to a children's lunch-style meal.
Preschool Children
A children's lunch-style meal will be provided.

Dietary Requests
Please note that we are unable to accommodate individual food allergies, special dietary requirements (including low-sodium or low-fat meals), or religious and cultural dietary requests such as Halal, Vegetarian, Vegan, or Shojin cuisine.
We kindly ask guests to review meal contents at their own discretion before dining.
Dining Venue
Meals will be served either in our private dining restaurant "Kamado" or in a private banquet room. The venue will be assigned by the ryokan according to the size of your party and operational requirements.
Important Information
• A hot spring bathing tax of JPY 150 per person (junior high school age and above) will be charged separately.
• For children aged 3–5 who do not require meals or bedding, a facility usage fee of JPY 3,850 (tax included) will apply.
• Children under 3 years old are subject to an additional facility usage fee of JPY 1,650 (tax included).
• If you expect to arrive after 6:00 PM, futon bedding will be prepared in your room prior to your arrival.
• If check-in is delayed beyond 7:00 PM due to traffic conditions or other circumstances, guests will be guided directly to the dining venue upon arrival.
Miyagi Prefecture Accommodation Tax
Effective January 13, 2026, an accommodation tax of JPY 300 per person per night will be charged separately for stays with a room rate of JPY 6,000 or more per person (before tax).

Renovated in April 2025, our West Wing guest rooms have been transformed into modern Japanese-Western style rooms.
Each room combines Western-style beds with a traditional tatami area, offering a total floor area of approximately 45 square meters. Two Simmons double beds are provided for a restful night's sleep, and futons can also be prepared in the Japanese-style space, making these rooms ideal for families and small groups.
For your comfort, every room is equipped with a shower booth and a washlet toilet.
You can also enjoy YouTube, Netflix, and other streaming services on the internet-enabled TV, allowing you to relax and unwind during your stay.Please note that our ryokan is not barrier-free. Some areas require the use of stairs, which may make the property less suitable for guests with limited mobility.
