Located in Togatta Onsen, Zao Town, Miyagi Prefecture, Kappa no Yado Ryokan Sanjiro offers beautiful views of the Zao Mountain Range, which changes with the seasons.
Relax in the hot springs while enjoying the autumn scenery, and savor a Japanese kaiseki dinner featuring seasonal ingredients.
This special autumn plan is perfect for families, couples, and anyone looking to enjoy the autumn colors and a relaxing hot spring stay.

The Annex and West Wing guest rooms included in this package were newly renovated in April 2025. In addition, guests may enjoy an extended check-out time of 11:00 AM instead of the standard 10:00 AM, allowing for an even more relaxing stay.

【Meals】
■ Dinner
We serve Japanese kaiseki cuisine featuring seasonal ingredients from Miyagi and carefully prepared to bring out the natural flavors of each ingredient.
With this plan, one serving of Sendai Beef Steak is also included with dinner.
Dinner Times:
6:00 PM / 6:30 PM / 7:00 PM
Dining time is limited to 2 hours from the selected start time.
If we do not receive any notice after 8:00 PM, dinner service may be discontinued.
■ Breakfast
A traditional Japanese breakfast is served at the following times:
7:30 AM / 8:00 AM / 8:30 AM
Breakfast is served until 9:00 AM.
【Children's Meals】
■ Elementary School Children
A meal based on the adult menu will be provided, with several dishes omitted.
A children's meal is also available upon request.
Please let us know at the time of booking if you prefer a children's meal.
■ Preschool Children
A children's meal will be provided.
【Dietary Information】
We are unable to accommodate individual food allergies or special dietary requirements, including low-sodium or low-fat diets, as well as religious or cultural dietary requirements such as Halal, Vegetarian, or Shojin cuisine.
Please review the meal information before booking.
【Dining Venue】
Meals will be served in a private dining room at “Kamado” or in a private room within a banquet hall.
The dining venue will be assigned by the ryokan according to the number of guests.
【Important Information】
・A hot spring tax of JPY 150 per person applies to guests of junior high school age and above.
・For children aged 3–5 who do not require meals or bedding, a facility usage fee of JPY 3,850 (tax included) applies.
・For children under 3 years old, an additional facility usage fee of JPY 1,650 (tax included) applies.
・If you arrive after 6:00 PM, futons may be prepared in your room in advance due to dinner arrangements.
・If you check in after 7:00 PM, please go to the dining venue promptly after entering your room due to the limited dinner service time.
【Miyagi Prefecture Accommodation Tax】
From January 13, 2026, an accommodation tax of JPY 300 per person per night will be charged separately when the accommodation fee is JPY 6,000 or more per person, excluding tax.

Renovated in April 2025, our West Wing guest rooms have been transformed into modern Japanese-Western style rooms.
Each room combines Western-style beds with a traditional tatami area, offering a total floor area of approximately 45 square meters. Two Simmons double beds are provided for a restful night's sleep, and futons can also be prepared in the Japanese-style space, making these rooms ideal for families and small groups.
For your comfort, every room is equipped with a shower booth and a washlet toilet.
You can also enjoy YouTube, Netflix, and other streaming services on the internet-enabled TV, allowing you to relax and unwind during your stay.Please note that our ryokan is not barrier-free. Some areas require the use of stairs, which may make the property less suitable for guests with limited mobility.
