【Mt. Iwasuge Trekking Course】

Mt. Iwasuge is one of Japan’s 200 famous mountains.

After traversing scenic ridgeline trails with spectacular panoramic views and overcoming the final steep rocky ascent, you will be rewarded with breathtaking vistas of the mountains of Shiga Kogen.

Route:
Hotel Front or Higashidate Gondola → Higashidateyama Summit → Terakoya → Nokkiri → Mt. Iwasuge Summit → Nokkiri → Araita Valley → Ichinose Trailhead

Approx. 7.5 hours / 18.5 km
Advanced course recommended for experienced hikers with strong stamina

【Pond & Marshland Trekking Course】

One of the most popular trekking courses in Shiga Kogen, featuring a variety of ponds and wetlands.

Highlights include the scenic Maeyama Marshland, the beautiful alpine flowers around Shibuike Pond and Shijuhachiike Marshland, and the mysterious emerald-colored Onuma Pond.

Route:
Maeyama Lift → Shibuike Pond → Shijuhachiike Marshland → Onuma Pond → Ikejiri → Onuma Pond Entrance (Shimizuguchi)

Approx. 3.5 hours / 9.6 km
Intermediate course suitable for general hikers

【Nature Discovery Course】

An ideal course for enjoying the rich natural beauty of Shiga Kogen.

This relaxing route includes highlights such as Tanohara Marshland filled with seasonal flowers, Kidoike Pond, and many other scenic spots.

Route:
Kidoike Pond → Tanohara Marshland → Sankaku Pond → Shinshu University Nature Conservation Garden → Watasuge Marsh → Hasuike Pond

Approx. 2 hours / 4.1 km
Suitable for beginners, intermediate hikers, and general visitors

【Takamagahara Onsen】
Relax in our spacious public bath inspired by European mountain resorts, and enjoy the soothing qualities of natural hot spring waters.
A foot massage area, sauna, and cold bath are also available to help refresh your body after hiking.

Please note that the outdoor bath may be temporarily closed depending on weather conditions.
