Sousekian is an exclusive private house rental featuring bedrooms on both the first and second floors.
Carefully restored from a traditional Japanese farmhouse that has stood for over a century, the house preserves the quiet beauty of time etched into its wooden beams and handcrafted fittings. Rather than adding excessive ornamentation, we have chosen a simple and understated design that allows guests to settle comfortably into the space.
Beyond the windows flows the gentle murmur of the Yoshida River, with views extending to Gujo Hachiman Castle in the distance. As the seasons change and the hours pass, the scenery reveals new expressions, accompanied by the ever-present sound of the river.
As daylight softens and evening falls, the house grows even more tranquil. The gentle glow of the lights and the surrounding stillness invite time to slow and unfold at its own pace.
Simply listen to the river, relax, and enjoy each moment in your own way.
For Guests Staying in Groups of 5–6
Sosekian is originally designed to comfortably accommodate up to four guests.
Groups of five or six are also welcome to stay together; however, please note that the sleeping arrangements and available space will be a little more compact than usual.
