We have prepared a special day where you can enjoy two performances—Noh and classical music—on the same day.

In the evening, a Noh performance at the contemporary art gallery “Hyakutai”.

At night, a classical concert at the library “Tsurezure Bunko”.

Japanese classical performing arts and Western music.

Two arts nurtured by different eras and cultures

naturally blend together within the same inn, flowing seamlessly through the day.

【Part 1】
 Noh Performance ― Where Tradition Meets Contemporary Art ―

Featuring Hosho-ryu Noh performer Mr. Sano Genki,
presenting the play “Izutsu”.
The stage is the gallery “Hyakudai”, designed by contemporary artist Mr. Yanagi Yukinori.
The serene time inherent in Noh and the philosophical depth of contemporary art overlap,
creating a unique sense of “ma” (pause) and tension born only here.

【Part 2】 Classical Concert: Violin and Piano — A Deepening Dialogue of Sound in the Night —
As the echoes of Noh linger quietly into the night, a classical concert will be held at the library “Tsurezure Bunko”.
Violinist: Tmaki Kawakubo
Pianist: Yurie Miura
The music woven by these two artists, acclaimed both domestically and internationally,
transcends technique to meticulously reveal the depth and quiet emotion within each piece.
Listening to classical music as the body and senses slowly unwind from day into night offers an intimate, profound resonance distinct from that of a concert hall.

Japanese style and twin with Open-air onsen bathroom and Terrace (44 sm)

 

Our Sumiya Kiho-an made renew Japanese guest room in 2015 as renovation,and lots of Ryokan inn features, fusuma papers, fabric decor and refined works are here. Even those in Japanese houses are not be seen, but all our guests can indulge in the time-honored Japanese tradition of relaxing stay.

No smoking, and sorry for no permission for staying with Children /infant/ baby.

 

At bathroom, you can take time to rest in the indulgent to fill the bathtub and take it with natural hot spring water as you like. The bathroom is just in nature, you are able to see the green scenery with taking a bath and rest at terrace.

 

We offer your meals(dinner and breakfast) at our dining room "ZUIKA".
