Located within Joshinetsu National Park, our inn is a secluded inn located on the highest ground in the innermost part of Shima Onsen, surrounded by rich nature. Within the inn's grounds, there is a branch temple of Kyoto's Honnoji Temple, Yakuoji Temple, which can be visited directly from the inn. You can also draw fortune slips inside the inn. There is also a golden lucky daruma doll with a crane on its face and a dragon on its head, so you can pray for good luck. We also have paintings by Gunma Prefecture-based painter Kei Horiguchi and art works by local stone sculptor Mitsuo Saiki on display at all times, so you can enjoy a diverse stay for yourself.
≪Dinner≫
We will prepare a "Shunget Kaiseki" meal, which is made with seasonal ingredients from Gunma, with a focus on local production and consumption. We carefully hand-make Tsuruya's unique dishes, making the most of the flavors of the ingredients. The seasonings and sauces used are local miso and koji, making this a healthy dish. Please enjoy it with our carefully selected sake.≪Breakfast≫
We will prepare a Japanese meal that is gentle on the body when you wake up. Our freshly cooked rice "Hana Yukari", which is very popular among our guests and is delicious, is carefully selected rice by Tsuruya, which is grown with great care by local rice farmer Oguri. It is truly delicious rice with a taste index of 85 or more, and has been presented to Ise Shrine. Miso soup, which can be said to be a part of Japanese culture, is made with Hana Yukari rice miso from the local Tokumo Brewery. At breakfast, you will have the opportunity to try making Gomei tea from Kakegawa, Shizuoka, from Tsuruya's carefully selected series. The first cup has a mellow, refreshing and gentle taste, the second cup has a little more astringency but still has a refreshing taste, and the third cup has a stronger astringency and flavor but still has a mellow taste. This is a gentle tea created by the personality of Mr. Horii of the Kakegawa Gomei Tea Association.≪Children's Meals≫
Dinner We have a "children's lunch" for children. Since the meal is sushi rolls, please note in the remarks column if your child prefers white rice. Breakfast It will be a Japanese meal. *If you would like the same Shungetsu Kaiseki as adults, please apply for the same number of adults or the same number of adults. Children (12 years old and under) who book the children's lunch will be charged 50% of the adult rate. If you order the same Shungetsu Kaiseki as adults, the price will be the same as adults.*We make soba noodles in one corner of the kitchen at our hotel. Please contact us if you have a soba allergy.
*Guests staying at the main building Tsuraya will have their meals served in their rooms. For parties of three or more (including children with meals included), you may be served in the dining area. *Guests staying at the annex Mizukian will have their meals served in the dining area. Guests who wish to have their meals served in their rooms can do so for an additional fee of 2,200 yen per person. However, please note that we may not be able to accommodate your request.≪Hot Springs≫
The luxurious natural hot spring, also known as "Kiseki no Yu", is a blend of Shima's four hot springs: "Omusou no Yu", the original hot spring of Shima Onsen, our own hot spring "Shikazoki no Yu", and the hot springs drawn from the town, "Yamadori no Yu" and "Yuno Izumi". It is a high-quality hot spring that is gentle on the skin.≪Private Baths≫
