What is "Shin-Tōji"?

"Shin-Tōji" is the wellness retreat concept recommended by Tsuruya.
Shima Onsen, the first National Health Resort designated in Japan, is located within the Joshin’etsu National Park, offering exceptional hot spring water and a pristine natural environment. This unique retreat stimulates various “Shin” (New, True, Heart, Body, Mind, Progress) elements, providing healing and refining the senses.

Meals are served in the in-room dining area. (For groups of five or more, different arrangements may apply.)

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

■Dinner■
We will prepare the standard course "Shunget Kaiseki".
We use ingredients from each season to create a kaiseki meal that makes the most of the ingredients.
Please enjoy the colorful and beautiful creations created by our proud chefs that are not only delicious but also visually appealing.
We offer seasonal dishes that are made with the aim of locally produced food, as well as delicious delicacies such as Gunma Prefecture's brand beef, pork, and local chicken.  
※At our hotel, we make soba noodles in one corner of the kitchen.
We recommend that guests with buckwheat allergies choose a room only option.


■Breakfast■
We offer a healthy Japanese meal, perfect for waking up refreshed.
Each dish is carefully prepared, with an emphasis on the colors of the seasons.
Nakanojo Town's brand rice "Hana Yukari" is a delicious rice that is lovingly grown by local rice farmer Oguri.
We offer "Gomyo tea," a special tea that gently warms the body as you wake up.
It would be a waste to drink just one cup, so please try two or three cups and experience the ever-changing flavors.


 ■Hot Springs■
This luxurious natural hot spring is a blend of Shima's four hot springs: the original source of Shima Onsen, "Omusou no Yu," the private hot spring, "Shikazoki no Yu," and the hot springs drawn from the town, "Yamadori no Yu" and "Yuno Izumi," and is a high-quality hot spring that is gentle on the skin.
