The owner, who runs a fish shop, has selected wild live fish caught in the rough seas of the west coast of Amakusa with the discerning professional eye.

Shimoda Onsenkyo also has hot springs that date back more than 700 years.
The water is clear and colorless, feels smooth on the skin, and is at just the right temperature.
