A suite with a bath of its own, and dinner at the buffet.
Kyokusui-tei is our pair of guest suites, and the only rooms at Yugetsusanso with an open-air bath of their own. This plan puts you in one of them and sends you down to the buffet for dinner.
The bath is a Shigaraki ceramic tub, filled with radon spring water and yours to use whenever you like. Check-out is at 12:00, so the morning is unhurried.

GUEST ROOMS
Kyokusui-tei — two suites, each with its own bath
There are two of them, and no more. Each has a tatami room and a Western bedroom, so a party of up to six can sleep four on futon and two in beds — useful if sleeping on the floor is not for everyone. Both have a Shigaraki ceramic open-air bath fed with radon spring water, and a massage chair.
Both suites are on the ground floor, about 13 steps from the entrance, set a little apart from the lobby.
Kiritsubo — approx. 81 m²
The larger of the two: a 10-mat tatami room, an 8-mat bedroom and a 16-mat dining room. For parties of up to four, meals can be set at the dining table rather than on the floor. The bathroom has a ReFa shower head, and the hair dryer is ReFa as well.
Yugao — approx. 63 m²
A 10-mat tatami room, an 8-mat bedroom and an 8-mat living room, with the same open-air bath and massage chair.
DINING
Dinner — at the buffet, not in your room
On this plan, dinner is served in our buffet hall, Tsuki-no-kura. Two main dishes are brought to your seat: Kobe beef teppanyaki, which you grill yourself at the table — medium-rare is where the beef is at its best — and sashimi. Everything else is yours to choose from, about fifty dishes of Japanese cooking prepared by our chefs. Dinner is a 90-minute sitting.
Breakfast is a buffet as well, Japanese and Western side by side.
※ Children of elementary-school age are served one main dish in addition to the buffet. Younger children have the buffet only.
※ If you would rather dine in your room, our other Kyokusui-tei plans serve a kaiseki dinner there instead.
※ All of our rooms are non-smoking. Smoking areas are provided in the building.HOT SPRING
Two kinds of water
The bath in your suite is radon spring water, clear and quiet, to step into at any hour.
The large baths draw on our own spring on the grounds — a sodium chloride spring, long called the all-purpose bath. They are Tsuru-no-yu and Kame-no-yu, and along the Takigawa are the open-air baths Ofuku-no-yu and Tamahoko-no-yu. Cross Gekkobashi, the bridge, and the large baths of our sister inn Korokan are open to you as well.
GOOD TO KNOW
Before you arrive
In the tatami room you sleep on futon bedding laid out on the tatami floor; the bedroom has beds. Shoes come off at the entrance.
The large baths are communal and are taken without swimwear, separately for men and women. Please wash and rinse at the taps before getting into the bath. The bath in your own suite has no such rule.
※ Children aged 3 to 5 are charged separately for meals, which can be added when you book.
※ Children aged 2 and under stay free, without meals or bedding.
※ There is only one of each suite, so on rare occasions we may need to contact you about your booking.ACCESS
