Kumamoto's Kikuchi River basin is a little-known rice producing region that was designated as a "Japan Heritage" in 2017 with the theme of "rice cultivation." At our museum, the rice is grown in the Kikuka region of Yamaga, Kumamoto.
We use ``Kikuka rice'' which is specially shared with us by farmers.
We serve freshly cooked rice for both dinner and breakfast.
