Accommodation Tax Notice

Starting from stays on or after June 1, 2026, an accommodation tax will be introduced in Nagano Prefecture and Matsumoto City.

For stays with a room rate of JPY 6,000 or more per person per night (excluding consumption tax, including service charge), an accommodation tax of JPY 200 per person per night

will be charged separately. (Nagano Prefecture Tax: JPY 100, Matsumoto City Tax: JPY 100)

From June 1, 2029, the accommodation tax will increase to JPY 300 per person per night. (Nagano Prefecture Tax: JPY 150, Matsumoto City Tax: JPY 150)

Please note that the accommodation tax is not included in the room rate at the time of booking. The tax will be collected separately upon payment at check-out.
