From September 5 to September 18, we will be carrying out repair work on the terraces of our main building’s UKIFUNE and HORAI guest rooms. During this period, the terraces of these rooms will be temporarily closed and unavailable for use.
Repair work will take place between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and guests staying in nearby rooms may experience some construction noise during these hours.
This work is necessary to carefully preserve and maintain the historic architecture and beauty of our traditional Japanese ryokan for future generations. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and greatly appreciate your kind understanding and cooperation in helping us preserve this important part of Japanese ryokan heritage.
A special guest room exclusively for Kyoto Garden Ryokan Yachiyo members. Reservations are possible when there are vacancies.
Room Details:
The KIKU suite is a traditional Japanese-style room with 16 tatami mats, located on the first floor. It features a garden bathroom and a washroom.
Year Hotel Built: 1890.
Year Hotel Last Renovated: 2024.
In January 2025, we upgraded the Japanese futons in all guest rooms.
To ensure an even more comfortable stay, we have upgraded our Kiku suite in 2025. This evolution includes a brand-new Hinoki (cypress) wood bath, modern underfloor heating, and meticulously restored traditional Juraku plaster walls.
The room spans 58.38㎡ / 628ft² and includes the following spaces:
16 tatami mats main room, comprising 10 tatami mats and 6 tatami mats.
2 tatami mats side room.
2 tatami mats entrance space.
8 tatami mats garden bathroom.
This 58.38㎡ / 628ft² room seamlessly blends traditional Japanese design with modern comforts.
The bathroom is equipped with a traditional Japanese Hinoki wooden Furo soaking tub (350 gallons). Guests can relish exquisite views of the traditional Japanese garden, "TUBO NIWA," visible through sliding glass doors that lead to a balcony area.
